At the pre-event gathering in Carmel for the Pebble Beach Concourse d'Elegance, we caught this young man who had been granted permission to sit on a very rare Italian motorcycle from the early 1970s. It was this bike, the 750SS that put Ducati on the map when British rider Paul Smart won the Imola 200 in 1972.
