In the early summer of 2004, I was invited by BMW Motorrad to the Nurburgring racetrack in the Eiffel Mountains of Germany to test ride a pre-release motorcycle, the K1200S. A hand picked group of riders from around the world had the Nordschlife (North Course) of the Nurburgring to ourselves with a handful of instructor/guides. The Nordschlife is 13.2 miles in length and takes hundreds of laps to even begin to learn, thus the BMW Instructors.
